Founder, MyClubfoot — Patient Advocate & Lived Experience Author
Benjamin Alexander was born with unilateral talipes equinovarus (clubfoot) and underwent the full Ponseti treatment protocol from birth — including serial casting, Achilles tenotomy, and the boots and bar phase. He has lived with the outcomes of clubfoot treatment into adulthood, giving him a unique first-person perspective that underpins every article on this site.
Having personally navigated every stage of clubfoot treatment — from the initial diagnosis anxiety through casting, tenotomy, years of boots and bar compliance, and into adult life — Benjamin founded MyClubfoot to give families the resource he wished had existed at diagnosis.
His writing draws on lived experience combined with extensive research into peer-reviewed clinical literature, NHS clinical pathways, and guidance from organisations including the Ponseti International Association and Steps Charity Worldwide.
