Night brace and co-sleeping - is it safe?

Is it safe to co-sleep with a baby wearing boots and bar? I know co-sleeping is debated but realistically we end up doing it some nights when she won't settle.
Worried about the bar hitting my partner or baby getting tangled. But sleep deprivation is making everything harder.
No judgment please, just practical advice 🙏

No judgment! We did what we had to survive. Our arrangement:
- Baby in middle of king size
- Both parents on outside
- No duvet near baby (separate blankets)
- Bar horizontal between us
- Firm mattress
Once baby adjusted (~2 weeks) she went back in cot happily. Temporary survival mode.
The bar did whack my husband in the face once though 😂

I'd advise following safe sleep guidelines, including room sharing without bed sharing. However, extreme sleep deprivation is a safety risk in itself.
A bedside crib (Snuzpod) is a good compromise - baby is right next to you but in their own safe space. This worked well for many brace families I've supported.
The adjustment phase is temporary 💙

we did it. im not ashamed. followed safe sleep rules as much as possible.
a bedside crib was actually our solution - close enough to comfort, safe enough. the next2me crib was brilliant because the side drops down.
you'll get through this ❤️
