30 weeks pregnant (first baby!) with bilateral clubfoot treated with Ponseti. My feet are generally fine but pregnancy has made them SO much worse. Swelling, pain, balance all over the place.
Also - should I worry about my baby having clubfoot too? Slightly higher chance apparently?
Any clubfoot mums who've been through pregnancy? 🤰💙

I have unilateral clubfoot and had two pregnancies! Swelling was AWFUL on the clubfoot side. Balance definitely affected - more unsteady than pregnant friends.
Stats: about 3-4% chance if one parent has clubfoot (vs 0.1% general). Higher but still low! My two kids are clubfoot-free.
Comfortable shoes and feet-up breaks essential. Swimming in late pregnancy was amazing 💙🤰

Risk is approximately 3-4% when one parent is affected - so 96-97% chance baby will NOT have clubfoot. Additional ultrasound around 20 weeks can be requested.
Increased swelling, pain and balance issues in the clubfoot leg are commonly reported during pregnancy.
Supportive footwear, gentle ankle exercises, and regular rest with feet elevated. Swimming is excellent. Consider physiotherapy referral if balance is significantly affected 💙

Yes! Pregnant with clubfoot was a ride 😂 My balance was terrible. I fell over three times in the third trimester (I'm fine, baby was fine).
The swelling went down within a week of giving birth though. And my baby doesn't have clubfoot!
